The format
How RunOut Works
Broadcast-grade professional pool engineered for continuous in-play betting — every shot is an event, every event is a price.
Fundamentals
Six pillars of the game
The format
Races to 5, 7 or 9 racks on 9-foot tables. Alternate breaks, template rack, and a referee on every table.
The shot clock
30 seconds per shot with one 30-second extension per rack. Exceeding the clock is a standard foul.
The freeze
A snookered player may call FREEZE once per frame for a 45-second standstill and a full market re-price.
The production
Six-camera capture including overhead table cam, cue-tip cam and player reaction, delivered as a low-latency stream.
The officiating
Independent referees rule on fouls and freezes. Every call is logged to the data feed for instant settlement.
The feed
A single websocket carries scores, shot events, freeze states and prices to your front end in under 300ms.
Anatomy of a frame
Two minutes, one freeze
A typical frame timeline as it appears on the trading feed.
Break
Rack breaks; frame markets open with pre-computed opening prices.
Safety exchange
Prices drift shot by shot as position quality changes.
Snooker
Player is hooked. Referee confirms the position.
FREEZE
Player calls freeze. 45-second countdown starts, markets suspend.
Freeze prices
New freeze book publishes. Punters place fresh bets.
Resume
Clock restarts. The escape attempt settles the freeze markets.
